I agree with just moving the jack an inch as clearly it wasn't welded. Also questionable why you used wood instead of tube steel or aluminum. Last a ton longer as that wood is going to soak up a ton of water on rainy highways. Yeah, it's cheap, but seeing how much you spent on the storage bin..... But a good idea overall.

I got a similar thing for my bobcat it’s just a single chainsaw blade. Takes no hydraulic power. Just someone sitting in the bucket with a chainsaw. Lifted up to branch height. A step by step. Approach each limb that needs to be hacked off. Letting them do it while seated in the bucket lol
